When someone asks AI who to hire, the answer should be you.
People in the Tri-Cities are already asking ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI Mode questions like "who does estate planning in Kingsport" or "best HVAC company near Johnson City." Those tools do not return ten blue links. They return an answer with one or two names in it. This service exists to make sure one of those names is yours.

For twenty years, showing up online meant ranking on Google. That still matters, and it is not going away. But a growing share of your future customers never see a results page at all. They ask an AI tool a question and take the recommendation it gives them.
Those AI tools decide who to recommend based on what they can read, verify, and trust about your business online. Most local websites were never built with that in mind. The content might be good. The site might even rank well on Google. But to an AI agent, it is unreadable, unverifiable, or invisible.
This work goes by two names in the industry: Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). Strip the jargon and it means one thing: structuring your website and your business information so AI tools can find you, understand you, and confidently recommend you.
We do not sell this from theory. We did it to our own sites first, measured the results against public benchmarks, and wrote up exactly what changed. The numbers are below.
From invisible to recommended.
Every engagement starts with measurement, not promises. You see your real starting point before we change anything.
Baseline scan
We run your site through agent-readiness and AI-visibility checks, including the same Cloudflare scanner we benchmarked our own sites against. Then we ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode the questions your customers actually ask, and we document exactly what they say about you today. Usually the honest answer is: nothing.
Technical readiness
We fix how your site talks to AI visitors. Clear rules for which bots can read your pages and which cannot use your content for training. Machine-readable versions of every page. A site card that introduces your business to AI tools. Structured data that tells them what you do, where you do it, and how to reach you.
None of that replaces the basics: consistent business information across the web, real reviews, and the other signals that support traditional local SEO. AI tools weigh all of it together, not just what is on your own site.
Answer-ready content
AI tools recommend businesses they can quote accurately. We make sure your pages answer the real questions in plain language: what you do, who it is for, where you serve, what it costs when you can say, and why you are qualified. Facts an AI can cite, written so a human still wants to read them.
Monitor and report
AI answers change as the tools re-crawl the web. We re-scan your site, re-ask the same customer questions on a schedule, and send you a short monthly report in plain English: what the AI tools say about you now, what changed, and what we are adjusting next. Human-reviewed, every time.
We ran this play on our own sites first.
The morning Google rolled out its May 2026 Core Update, we ran tricitiesailab.com through Cloudflare's free agent-readiness scanner. It scored a 25 out of 100. By that evening, after rebuilding how the site talks to AI tools, it scored 83. A second site we run went from 50 to 83 as well. Both now rate "Agent-Native," the top level on Cloudflare's scale.
Cloudflare's own verdict on whether the web is ready for AI agents was, in their words, not very. Most local sites we have checked score far below where ours sits. The gap is real, and it is fixable.
As of July 20, 2026, tricitiesailab.com scores 100 on the content-scope scan (discoverability, content format, and bot access checks). API and commerce categories are outside the scope of a content site and were not scanned.
This is not hypothetical. A local attorney recently signed a client who found them by asking ChatGPT who to call. That is where leads are starting to come from.
A word on how to read these numbers: the May 2026 scores above reflect Cloudflare's public agent-readiness scanner as it stood then; see Cloudflare's launch post for their own view of where the broader web stands. Scanners like this get updated over time, so a score is a snapshot, not a permanent number, which is part of why monitoring is an ongoing part of this service rather than a one-time claim. The same caveat applies if you ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Google AI Mode a question yourself: these tools personalize answers based on the asker's location, prior conversation history, and session context, so no single test is perfectly reproducible for every visitor. What we track is the pattern across repeated, comparable checks over time, not one lucky answer. See our methodology page for the full scan history.

You're in the right place if...
Your Google traffic has been slipping
Fewer clicks from search is not your imagination. More people get their answer from an AI tool and never visit a results page. This service meets your customers where they are actually asking.
You rank fine on Google and assume that carries over
It does not. AI tools read websites differently than Google does. A site can rank on page one and still be invisible to the agents that write AI answers. The scan takes ten seconds and settles the question.
You want the head start while it's still available
Almost no business in the Tri-Cities has done this work. The businesses that get readable and citable in 2026 are the ones AI tools will be recommending in 2027. Early is an advantage that will not last.
Measured results, not a maybe.
Every engagement produces documents and fixes you can see, plus scores you can verify yourself with free public tools.
AI Visibility Baseline Report
Your agent-readiness score, what each major AI tool currently says about your business, and the three changes that would move your score the most.
Technical Readiness Fixes
Bot access rules, machine-readable pages, a site card, and structured data. Implemented for you, not handed off as a to-do list.
Answer-Ready Content Updates
Your key pages rewritten or restructured so AI tools can quote your services, service area, and credentials accurately. Human-reviewed before anything goes live.
Monthly Visibility Report
A short plain-English report: your current scores, what AI tools say about you now, what changed since last month, and what we adjust next.
What this does not include.
No AI tool sells placement, and this service does not either. There is no way to buy or guarantee a specific mention in a ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Google AI Mode answer, and any vendor who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you.
It also does not replace traditional SEO, content marketing, or paid advertising. It sits alongside those, using different technical work aimed at a different kind of search.
And it does not freeze in place once delivered. AI tools update their models and how they weigh sources on their own schedule, outside anyone's control, which is why ongoing monitoring is part of the engagement rather than a one-time fix.
Things people ask before they call.
The first scan is always free.
Send us your web address. We will run the scan, tell you where you stand, and name the three things that would move your score the most. No pressure, no pitch. If the numbers say you are fine, we will tell you that too.
